감독생활을 시작했다.
선수들과 파주 트레이닝 센터에서
대면한 첫날 그는 깜짝 놀랐다고 했다.
선수들이 점심을 먹고는
식당 아주머니들에게
인사도 하지 않고 그냥 나갔던 것이다.
"............"
그는 축구선수에게도 기술 이상으로
인생이 매우 중요하다고 생각했다.
곧 선수들을 불러 모았고
"우리 외에 다른 사람들을 모두 존경하라"
고 일렀다.
그는 바로 런던 올림픽 축구대표팀
홍명보 축구 감독이었다.
