강요하다 실시하다

My immediate boss enforced me on keep on working.

내 직속상관은 내게 계속 일할 것을 강요했다.

102. entertain **

즐겁게 하다, 대접하다

The director wants to entertain contractors in the meeting.

이사는 회의에서 계약업자들을 대접하고 싶어 한다.

cf. entertainer 연예인

   entertainment 오락 위로 환대 대접

103. expect **

기대하다 예상하다

I'm expecting a call from the manager.

나는 매니저의 전화를 기다리고 있다.

cf. ex=out, spect=see > 밖을 보다 > 기대하다

   in=in   spect=see  > 안을 보다 > 조사하다

104. explain **

설명하다 (=account for)

My junior explained to me what happened  yesterday.

내 후배가 나에게 어제 있은 일들을 설명했다.

cf. 나에게 말하다 - tell me

                   talk, say, explain to me

 

105. extend ***

연장하다, 확장하다

We have no alternative but to extend your working hours.

우리는 여러분의 근무 시간을 연장할 수밖에 없다.
