차가워진 바람에 고갤 묻어버리고,

살며시 웃어 버리는 건, 
(=smiling lightly,) 
단지 스치는 낙엽처럼,

쓸쓸한 계절 때문은 아닐텐데.
(=may not be because of the gloomy season.)

비어버린 가슴에 너를 채워버리려, 
(=In this emptied heart, 
hopefully filled with you,)
가만히 떠올려 보는 건,
(=Silently recalling you,)
그냥 가끔씩 생각나는 사랑은 아닐 거야. 
(=may not be the love that I sometimes recall.) 

넌 아무것도 내게 줄 수 없지만,

나의 마음 가져가 버린 걸,

난 수많았던 아픔밖엔 없지만,
(=All I have is numerous pains, but)
더 큰 아픔 주는 내가 되면 싫어.

내 마음 속에 커져만 가는 너의 자리,

getting bigger,)
헤어날 수 없는, 
(=Unable to escape)
나만의 깊은 외로움만을 남기네.
