(Thing of Sooni)

시냇물 흘러 흘러, 내 곁을 스치네.

(=Brook is running and running by me.)

물가에 마주 앉아,

(=Sitting on the side of it together,)

사랑을 그리며 속삭이네.

(=We dream our love and whisper, )

우리 꿈을.

(=our dream.)

 

내일이면 만날 그 날이 돌아오건만,

(=Tomorrow is the day I will meet her.)

얼마나 변했을까, 우리 순이야.

(=I wonder how much she changed, my Sooni)

설레임에 내 마음은 벌써,

(=Fluttering made my mind)

고향으로 달려가고 있네.

(=already run to my hometown.)

순이 생각에.

(=Thinking of Sooni.)

 

모두가 반겨주네, 정다운 순이도.

(=Everybody welcomes me, Sooni, too.)

새소리 물소리, 내 사랑 순이도

(=The sound of birds, the sound of water

and my love Sooni are beautiful,)

아름다운 우리 고향.

(=In my hometown.)
