언제나 조국과 민족을 생각하는 박정희 대통령은,

나의 조국이란 노래 속에 그 마음을 담았습니다.

( The President, Park, Jung-hee, who always thinks of this fatherland

and the people, put his truth into this song, so called My Fatherland.)

 

 

1. 백두산의 푸른 정기 이 땅을 수호하고,

(=The blue spirit from Mt. Baekdu

protects this nation, and)

한라산의 높은 기상 이 겨레 지켜왔네.

(=The high spirit from Mt. Halla

has kept this people.)

무궁화 꽃 피고 져도 유구한 우리역사.

(=Though Mugunghwa flower blooms

and falls, our history is never-ending.)

굳세게도 살아왔네 슬기로운 우리겨레.

(=Strongly survived, our wise people.)

 

 

2. 영롱한 아침해가 동해에 떠오르면,

(=When the lucid morning sun rises in the East Sea,)

우람할손 금수강산 여기는 나의조국.

(=Grand land of beautiful scenery,

here is my fatherland.)

조상들의 피땀어린 빛나는 문화유산,

(=Our hardworking ancestor's shining

cultural heritages,)

let's all keep forever.)
